- All boards are categorized appropriately
- Pins have detailed descriptions with search-friendly keywords that are appropriate to the image
- All pins are of large, clear, and well composed photos
- Have a variety of boards and even niche boards on a broad topic
- Pin at various times of the day and multiple times a week
- Stay relevant with the times – think seasonal and holiday boards where appropriate
- Be sure to include the “pin it” button and a link to your Pinterest account on your website – make sharing easy.
- Keep a good ratio of pins back to your site versus other pins
- Keep boards well populated and update all boards regularly
- Focus on the main Pinterest categories if appropriate for your brand
